I am a person who believes that God has a purpose and a plan for everyone. No matter the tasks, how big or small, how simple or stressful, you were purposefully put in your unique circumstances for a reason. You were fearfully and wonderfully made and DESIGNED by the king of all kings to glorify Him. God makes no mistakes. Although I posess my own insecurities about being the best mom, a perfect wife, follower of Christ etc. I feel lead to tell you, that you are STRONG! Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” so with that in mind, I want to remind you that it is all ok!
To the newly pregnant mom coping with the frightening reality of becoming a parent; bringing a human life into the world that you will have to care for, provide for, sacrifice for…it’s ok!
To the stay at home mom who struggles to find who SHE is, who feels guilt of wanting time alone…it’s ok!
To the working mom who comes home after a long day, to continue working because a mother’s job is never done…it’s ok!
To the mom who chooses formula over breastmilk, jar food over homemade, drive through over cooking…it’s ok!
To the mom who struggles financially but would do anything for her children…it’s ok!
Everyone has insecurities and struggles of their own. And everyone has the right to a mental breakdown. (once in a while) However, dont let it define you or consume your soul. I am also a firm believer in children adapting the overall tone of the atmosphere in which us parents provide. therefore, we should do our best to create a warm, loving, stress free environment for our babies.
Lastly, you have to take care of yourself in order to take care of anyone else. It’s ok to be a little selfish sometimes. Trust me… IT’S OK!!!
